Following the full press release dated October 10, 2024; Advania acquires UK based IT solution specialist CCS Media to further accelerate growth, Advania is pleased to finalize and close the acquisition of CCS Media. All the regulatory filings have been approved and the transaction is now closed.

Advania, a portfolio company of Goldman Sachs Alternatives and one of the largest providers of IT services in Northern Europe, has announced the acquisition of CCS Media, one of the largest independent IT solutions providers in the United Kingdom. This acquisition aligns with Advania's strategic focus on expanding its footprint and capability within the UK market.

Advania Iceland has signed a definitive agreement to divest two school software solutions to InfoMentor Iceland, a portfolio company owned by the Swedish software company Nordtech Group. As developing proprietary software is not part of Advania’s core offering, this divestment allows Advania Iceland to further streamline its IT services offering and provide best-of-breed software solutions tailored to the customers’ needs. This underpins the goal of becoming the preferred IT services provider in Northern Europe.

Refurbished devices in public administration are a high-quality, reliable, environmentally responsible, and overall economic option. For the past three years, Advania has been establishing a market for circular IT devices targeting educational institutions, municipalities, and cities.

Since November 2016, Advania SA have participated in incentive programmes through the Republic of South Africa’s Department of Trade, Industry and Competition. The primary objective of these programmes is to create employment in South Africa through servicing offshore activities, with a secondary objective of creating employment opportunities for the youth (age 18 to 34), and to contribute to the country’s export revenue from offshoring services.

When a series of volcanic eruptions and thousands of earthquakes struck near the town of Grindavík, Iceland, Natural Catastrophe Insurance of Iceland (NCII) faced an extraordinary challenge. As a public institution responsible for insuring all buildings in Iceland against natural disasters, NCII had to respond to widespread and evolving damage quickly and accurately under extreme pressure.

Advania Sweden partnered with analysis company Radar to produce a report describing the attitudes of Swedish businesses to the circular use of IT equipment. The report showed that the transition from linear to circular management of IT hardware is slow and many Swedish businesses lack a strategy for take-back and reuse.

With the acquisition of Servium Limited (“Servium”), Advania UK will enhance its end-to-end offerings in professional services, managed services, and value-added reselling for both existing and new customers. Moreover, Advania and Servium aim to create an exceptional workplace, allowing talent from both companies to excel in a decentralized, customer-centric environment. The acquisition aligns with Advania's goal of becoming the preferred IT-services provider in Northern Europe.

After conducting the Gallup employee survey for the first time in 2022, Advania Denmark decided to improve the situation and teamed up with an external partner to create a targeted action plan for 2023. Following the plan paid off: the results for 2023 indicate that the effort was successful, with scores increasing by double-digit percentages in all areas. In 2023, Advania Iceland started a project that encouraged customers to reduce their impact by cutting unnecessary printing. There are still many companies that continue to print a lot of information on paper and send it by mail despite the increased digitalisation in Icelandic society. When asked why, the answer was often “Because that is how we have always done it.” We talked to Steingerður Þóra Daníelsdóttir, product manager at Advania Iceland, about changing this mentality and helping customers achieve their sustainability goals.
