Reporting and Metrics
Tracking performance and impact
We report on our sustainability performance with a focus on transparency, consistency, and relevance.
Our approach is based on measuring areas that are material to our business and to the environmental impact of our operations and services. Reported data reflects how we operate in practice and is aligned with our Annual and Sustainability Report.
What we measure
We track performance across areas where our activities have the most significant impact. This includes greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3, covering our own operations as well as relevant parts of our value chain. We also monitor energy use and efficiency across offices and IT-related activities.
In addition, we report on lifecycle and circularity metrics, including the volume of hardware that is refurbished, recirculated, or otherwise kept in use. These metrics reflect the role lifecycle management can play in reducing the overall impact of IT, depending on how equipment is used and managed over time. Employee-related indicators are also included, such as engagement and other measures that support long-term organizational performance.
How we measure
Sustainability data is collected and calculated using established methodologies and internal processes designed to ensure consistency across markets.
Emissions are accounted for using structured approaches to Scope 1, 2, and 3, with defined system boundaries and underlying assumptions. Where data depends on third-party inputs or estimates, this is reflected in the methodology. We continuously work to improve data quality and coverage, particularly in areas where measurement methods are evolving.
Data collection and reporting are governed through defined internal processes and controls.
Frameworks and standards
Our reporting is aligned with relevant international frameworks and standards, as reflected in our Annual and Sustainability Report. This includes established approaches to emissions accounting, ESG reporting frameworks, and external sustainability assessments such as EcoVadis. Where applicable, climate targets are developed in line with science-based methodologies.
External benchmarks are used to assess performance and support comparability over time.
Consistency and verification
We aim to ensure that all reported information is documented, traceable, and consistent across our communications.
Sustainability data presented on this website is aligned with our Annual and Sustainability Report. Where figures or statements are used, they are based on the same definitions, system boundaries, and underlying data.
We avoid using generalized claims or estimates without a clear basis in measured or documented information.
Understanding impact
Measuring sustainability in IT involves a number of assumptions and dependencies, particularly in areas such as lifecycle extension and customer-related impact. For this reason, we distinguish between impact from our own operations and the impact we support our customers in achieving.
Where customer impact is referenced, it reflects the services provided and the mechanisms through which improvements can be realized. It does not represent guaranteed or uniform outcomes, as results depend on how services are implemented and used.
