While many Channel partners are making a genuine effort to promote equity in the workforce, there is still a shocking lack of women in one area, compared to men: leadership. The fact is, there are still too few women in leadership positions in the IT channel. Our CEO, Hege Støre, spoke to Christine:

To further strengthen its offerings in Sweden, Advania AB ("Advania") is acquiring RTS Group AB ("RTS"). The acquisition of RTS will strengthen Advania's capability to execute large-scale digital transformation projects and the managed services offering for both existing and new customers. The acquisition aligns with Advania's goal of becoming the preferred IT-services provider in Northern Europe.

Ottobock is a leading provider of orthopedic technology, supporting mobility and independence through high-quality, innovative products and services. In Sweden, the group includes Ottobock, Aktiv Ortopedteknik, and ExoNeural Network (ENN), with more than 400 employees, most working directly with patients in clinical settings.

The board of directors of Advania Group has appointed Sigurdur (Siggi) Thorsteinsson as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Advania Danmark, effective from 1st September 2023. Sigurdur will succeed the interim CEO, Sten Mortensen.

Advania has agreed to divest two data centre leasing contracts in Finland to atNorth AB, a Nordic data centre provider. Operating data centres is not part of Advania´s core offering, but services are provided through partnerships with leading data centre operators.  Through the divestment, Advania Finland can further streamline its IT-services offering with a best-of-breed partner handling the data centre operations.

To further broaden its offering in Denmark, Advania has acquired the IT infrastructure, storage and backup specialist CLOUDIO A/S. Advania will continue to build the highest level of IT-services to help customers on their digital journey. The acquisition underpins Advania’s ambition to become the preferred IT-services provider in Northern Europe with a holistic offering to existing and new customers.

As of 1 November 2022, Hege Støre will take over as the Advania Group's group CEO. Mikael Noaksson, the current CEO, will continue as a full-time strategy executive and is appointed a new member of the board.

Content+Cloud today announced that Geoff Kneen will become CEO and that Peter Sweetbaum will be moving to a new role within parent company, Advania Group, taking on a wider brief as Head of New Markets, with Content+Cloud’s Group Managing Director Geoff Kneen becoming CEO.

The transaction includes a transfer of highly specialised employees and a state-of-the-art logistic center tailored for Front End Services. This will allow Advania to continue to build the highest level of quality hardware solutions for its customers.

Scania, a global provider of transport solutions, is turning connected vehicle data into smarter maintenance, streamlined operations, and increased customer value. With over 600,000 connected vehicles and 25,000 daily workshop visits, the company needed a scalable platform to accelerate digital transformation across its global service network.

With the acquisition of eXspend AS, Advania will continue to build on the highest level of professional services to help customers on their digital journey. The acquisition underpins Advania’s ambition to become the preferred IT services provider in Northern Europe with a holistic offering to existing and new customers.

With the acquisition of the Microsoft Dynamics specialist Azzure IT Limited, Advania will leverage the scale and experience from both companies to help clients transform how they work by unifying business processes and systems.
