Advania strengthens legal, risk, and compliance expertise with smartvokat acquisition

Advania has acquired smartvokat GmbH, a German-based specialist in digital transformation for the legal, risk, and compliance community. The acquisition strengthens Advania's Transformation & Automation offering in Nordics, UK, and Ireland.

Specialized expertise meets market demand

Founded in Düsseldorf, smartvokat has established itself as a recognized advisor to international enterprises, helping modernize business-critical processes in legal, compliance, and contract management. The team brings deep domain knowledge and experience in digital strategies, workflow-based solutions, and AI-enabled consultancy services that address corporate in-house teams who are facing increasingly complex regulatory and governance requirements.

The acquisition reflects Advania's ambition to build deep delivery expertise in selected growth areas. smartvokat operates in a distinctive niche highly complementary to Advania's existing legal and compliance-focused client base. By joining forces, Advania strengthens its position as a specialist partner in transforming legal and compliance service delivery, while continuing to broaden its expertise in implementations of ServiceNow, iManage and other leading platforms for the legal domain.

smartvokat will join Advania's Transformation & Automation business unit in Sweden, creating synergies with existing teams and enhancing the company's ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for compliance, legal operations, and risk management, including AI-driven capabilities.

"smartvokat has built a reputation for innovation and excellence in modernizing legal and compliance processes. Their expertise is highly complementary to Advania, and together we will be able to support customers in business-critical areas while also accelerating the use of AI in this domain," said Henrik Foyn-Laukvik, Chief Acquisition Officer, Advania.

Operational continuity

smartvokat will continue serving its existing clients without disruption, while gaining access to Advania's broader service portfolio and delivery capacity. The combined organization further enhances Advania's ability to provide end-to-end digital transformation services across Northern Europe, the UK and the DACH region.
