Advania acquires the IT Consultant company Knowledge Factory, specialized in IT infrastructure with more than 500 clients worldwide. Knowledge Factory is currently in a positive phase, and the revenue increased by 47 percent during 2014. In the spring of 2016, Advania is going to go public on the NASDAQ OMX stock exchange in Reykjavik, and will by this acquisition enter a more aggressive phase.
– We are acquiring the Swedish top dog within IT-infrastructure. That is in accordance with our clients demand that the IT-supplier must be able to deliver the entire chain of requested services. Through this deal we are creating a new business area and get a new team with specialist competence that can serve our clients in the Nordics and beyond, says Mikael Noaksson, CEO Advania Sweden.
Knowledge Factory will remain as a separate brand during 2015 and will function as a business area within Advania. Knowledge Factory has 35 employees and three offices in the Nordics. The CEO of Knowledge Factory, Tobias Öien, will become a new business area manager for IT-infrastructure at Advania.
– This is the right way for us. We have had a very positive trend and with Advania as our new owner we will have an owner who is in the same positive trend. Advania understands the high value Knowledge Factory has to offer with a high-end specialist competence in moving large clients to a cloudbased environment. We will now have a solid owner with ambitious goals and we will get an opportunity to evolve together, says Tobias Öien, CEO Knowledge Factory.
Knowledge Factorys largest clients includes Nordea, Ericsson, Mölnlycke Healthcare, Tele 2, Riksgälden (Swedish national debt office), Mistras (New Jersey US) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Dubai).
– During the past couple of years, Advania has invested heavily in transformation to cloud services. With the unique competence of Knowledge Factory we can expand our offer and get more challenging tasks from our current clients as well as form new ones, says Mikael Noaksson.
