- Ægir Már Þórisson is the new CEO for Advania Iceland
- Gestur G. Gestsson takes over as CEO for Advania Norden and focuses on growth in the Nordic region

Ægir Már Þórisson succeeds Gestur G. Gestsson as the CEO of Advania Iceland. Gestur takes a new role as the CEO of Advania Advania Norden, which is the parent company of Advania in the Nordic region.
These changes are made to strengthen further Advania´s operations in the Nordic region and in Iceland.
Advania has grown significantly in the Nordic region for the past few years and operates in Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Advania´s owners aim to grow Advania´s operations in the Nordic region significantly.
Advania provides IT services and solutions for the public and the private sectors. About 1.000 employees work for Advania, of them some 600 employees work for Advania in Iceland.
Ægir Már started work at Advania in 2011 and for the past two years he been the Director of HR and Marketing. Ægir studied Occupational Psychology and was a consultant and Director at the consulting firm Capacent, before joining Advania.

Gestur G. Gestsson, CEO of Advania Norden:
„For the past years we have focused on growing Advania in the Nordic region and that has been my area of responsibility along with running Advania Iceland. Now we believe that it is the right time I focus on our Nordic operations full time. We build on the strong position Advania has in Iceland and it is therefore it critical that we have a skilled individual like Ægir Már at the helm in Iceland.
